Kent State Hosts South Alabama
on Saturday for Family & Band Day

Alan Ashby
The Kent State University football team returns home Saturday, Sept. 24, to host South Alabama at 3:30 p.m. in Dix Stadium.
The first meeting with the Jaguars will also serve as Parents’ and Family Day and Band Day.

Parents’ and Family Day is rapidly becoming one of the most popular events of the football season, with more than 800 already registered for the barbeque meal at the pregame tailgate. To learn more or to sign up, visit http://www.kent.edu/success/families/parents-day.cfm.

In addition, nearly 300 high school band students will join the Kent State Marching Band for what should be a memorable halftime show.

Tailgate lots on the east and west sides of Dix Stadium open at 12:30 p.m., as does the pregame Fan Experience in the Kent State Field House. The DJ for this Saturday’s tailgate is DJ D-Breezy, and the band is By George. For more information on the tailgate event, visit www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=135839649845510. Kent State head football coach Darrell Hazell and select players will address the crowd in the Fan Experience approximately 1:15 p.m. as part of the Flash Walk.
