Meet-and-Greet Day with Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine

University Communications & Marketing | 05/02/2012
Faculty, staff and students from Kent State University and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM) came together for a Meet-and-Greet Day on April 21 at Dix Stadium. The event celebrated the collaboration between both institutions. The event was free and open to Kent State and OCPM employees and their families.

The Meet-and-Greet Day began with lunch and games in the Field House at noon, and continued at 1 p.m. with a youth football clinic, presented by Beef O’ Brady’s, that was open to all grade-school-age children. The Kent State Football Spring Game, an intra-team scrimmage, took place at 2:30 p.m. Those who attended the event had the opportunity to get a tour of Dix Stadium and participate in other fun activities.

Kent State and OCPM plan to come together into one single, academic entity this summer. Established in 1916, OCPM is one of the largest and most respected podiatric medical education institutions in the country and the only accredited podiatry school in Ohio. At its March 14 meeting, the Kent State University Board of Trustees established the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
