Flashes Football & Fan Experience
Night Aug. 19

University Communications & Marketing
Kent State fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2010 Golden Flashes football team – and test drive the new pregame tailgate – when the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics hosts Fan Experience Night Thursday, Aug. 19. The event is free and open to the public.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the gates to the Kent State Field House will open to give fans their first look at the brand new pregame gathering spot. The activities will include inflatables, food vendors and music, as well as an opportunity to take pictures with Flash and the Kent State cheerleaders.

At 6:30 p.m., Kent State Director of Athletics Joel Nielsen will address the crowd before the festivities move to Dix Stadium for the football scrimmage. Fans who wish to purchase season tickets will have the opportunity during the game to select their seats. At the conclusion of the scrimmage, those in attendance will get to meet the Golden Flashes players and coaches on the field.

Kent State kicks off the 2010 season Thursday, Sept. 2, when the Golden Flashes host Murray State at 7 p.m. in the Season Opening Blast-Off Night. The team will return to Dix Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 3:30 p.m. when the Flashes take on The University of Akron for Homecoming.
