Preparing for Finals
The University Library will open April 29 at 9 a.m. and remain open until May 4 at 10 a.m. for students studying for finals.
On Monday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 1, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the library will host another edition of its Stress-Free Zone on the first floor of the University Library where students are provided a study break with free popcorn, drinks and games. The therapy dogs from the Dogs on Campus program will be there, too.
Study-A-Thon
To help students prepare for final exams, the Kent State Study-A-Thon took place Sunday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Overflow study and group study areas were also available nearby in the student center’s second floor cafeteria and The Nest, the new student lounge.
The 2012 Kent State Study-A-Thon featured 50 minutes of quiet study an hour followed by a 10-minute study break that consisted of food, music and prizes.
The event was sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government, Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils, Kent Student Center, Office of the Provost, Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs, Vice President for University Relations, University Communications and Marketing, University Dining Services and the Center for Student Involvement.
