An action-packed weekend of wrestling at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center kicked off with No. 20 Kent State falling to No. 12 Missouri, 34-12, on Dec. 9. The Golden Flashes can turn the weekend around when they grapple against No. 6 Ohio State on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. The Sunday dual will be streamed live at www.mac-sports.com. Sunday’s dual also will stream live on www.Flowrestling.org and can be seen on tape delay on SportsTime Ohio next week.

Tickets are $10 for Ohio State. On Sunday, the first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a free “Deny the Buckeye” T-shirt sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for University Relations. For more information, contact the Kent State Athletic Ticket Office at 330-672-2244.

The Ohio State Buckeyes (4-0) are coming off a stellar performance this past weekend, winning the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with eight wrestlers finishing in the top six places, including three finalists.

Last season, Missouri needed a pair of one-point victories and an overtime win to top the Golden Flashes 19-15 in Columbia. The Tigers will be making their first trip to Kent. Ohio State and Kent State have not met in the previous two seasons. The Buckeyes won the last meeting 20-15 on Jan. 4, 2009, in Columbus to take a 14-8 all-time series lead. The Golden Flashes last won the in-state rivalry on Jan. 7, 2007, on the road and last won at the MAC Center on Jan. 7, 2006.
